Stephanie Gancayco is a designer, content creator, stylist, and dancer born and raised in the Bay Area (shouts to ESSJ tho). Besides being the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Hella Pinay, she also collaborates with Indigenous women artisans in the Philippines to incorporate ancestral techniques and textiles into contemporary ready-to-wear with her brand HALIYA. With a background in fashion and knitwear design rooted in craft, Stephanie has worked with leading designers such as Anna Sui and her work has been featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, The IN Magazine, and on NBC Asian America. She's also recently joined UNDSCVRD SF, a non-profit venture designed to jump-start economic activity and public awareness of SOMA Pilipinas, as their merchandising and social media manager.
In her spare time, Stephanie can be found doing bruha things, nerding out on books, snuggling her dog Waffles, knitting, and getting hyphy.
