Ten years ago, Hella Pinay was created because we couldn't find the publication we wanted to exist.

We wanted a place where Filipino creative culture could be documented with intention, style, and depth—a publication that centered women and gender-expansive creatives while building bridges across the diaspora and the Philippines.

A decade later, the landscape has changed. Representation has expanded, new voices have emerged, and the conversations have evolved. This issue celebrates that progress while asking what comes next.

As Hella Pinay enters its next chapter, Issue 05 is both a retrospective and a manifesto for the future.
